VBS/Iloveyou

Download and run the remover rmlove.exe on the infected computer.

VBS/Iloveyou is a new virus, spreading itself by an e-mail. It set a new record - it took only 3 hours to spread worldwide. The message, in which it arrives, has the subject: ILOVEYOU and the following sentence in the e-mail body: kindly check the attached LOVELETTER coming from me.

An attached file LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.TXT.vbs contains a copy of the virus. The smart name of the attachment adds to the successful spreading of the virus - lots of users opened the virus in a good faith that a text file cannot be dangerous. The virus places its copies to the Windows directory as Win32DLL.vbs and to the Windows system directory as LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.TXT.vbs and MSKernel32.vbs.

To the Windows registry the virus writes to the following key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ the values: Run\MSKernel32RunServices\Win32DLL so the copies of the virus would run on each start of the Windows.
