The supported web browsers for the AVG Do Not Track feature are Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. An eye icon icon on your browser bar in your browser shows the websites and advertisers collecting data about your online activity and gives you the choice to allow or disallow, based on the type of the service. At the same time, the eye icon allows you to access the AVG Do Not Track settings.

By default, certain services are blocked by AVG Do Not Track. If you wish to modify the default settings of the feature, you can either block or allow individual services directly in the AVG Do Not Track interface, or manage settings for all services:

  1. Open AVG Do Not Track by clicking its icon icon on your browser bar on your browser bar.
  2. By clicking the eye icon at each particular service, you can block or allow it; alternatively, you can use the Block All / Unblock All button.
  3. To manage all services at once, click Settings at the bottom of the AVG Do Not Track interface, select the services to be blocked, and then click Save to save the changes.

AVG uses W3C DNT protocol to automatically notify sites that you don’t want to be tracked. This notification is enabled by default. You can change the settings as follows:

  1. Open AVG Do Not Track by clicking its icon icon on your browser bar on your browser bar.
  2. Click Settings at the bottom of the AVG Do Not Track interface.
  3. Clear (disable) or tick (enable) the option Notify web sites that I do not want to be tracked.
  4. Click Save to save the changes.

Note: If you cannot see the AVG Do Not Track icon icon on your browser bar in your web browser, you can display it as described in the article FAQ 4911 - Displaying the hidden AVG Do Not Track button.
