To exclude a directory or a file from Resident Shield scanning, please proceed as follows:
- Open the AVG 2012 Free program.
- Click the Anti-Virus component.
- Click the Manage exceptions button.
- In the newly opened dialog, please click either the Add Path or the Add File button to add the needed exception.
- Confirm all changes by pressing the OK button.
